“A violent squall came up and waves were breaking over the
boat…Jesus was in the stern, asleep on a cushion. They woke him and said “Teacher, do you not
care that we are perishing?” He woke up rebuked the wind and said to the sea “Quiet, be still.”
Mark 4:37-39. St. Alphonsus Liguori said, “Those whose hearts are enlarged by confidence in
God run swiftly on the path of perfection. They not only run, they fly; because, having placed all
their hope in the Lord, they are no longer weak as they once were. They become strong with the
strength of God, which is given to all who put their trust in Him.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, so
often we cannot sense your Presence, and we feel alone. But we are not alone, you are Faithful
and True, and we are Your Delight. May we live in your heart always as the homeland that it is,
and thus be filled with treasures for others. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
