Word for Sunday July 18. “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” People were coming and going in great numbers, and they had no opportunity even to eat.” Mark 6:31. Matthew Kelly said, “If you don’t have time to pray and read the scriptures, you are busier than God ever intended you to be.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, many of us rarely take time to be by ourselves, be with family and friends enough. We miss so many opportunities of rest and bonding because we are always on the go, go, go. May we listen and follow Your counsel to take time off, be by ourselves and rest.
