“So they called the blind man saying to him: “Take courage; get
up, Jesus is calling you.” He… sprang up and came to Jesus. Jesus said to him “What do you
want me to do for you?” The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.” Jesus told him
“Go your way; your faith has saved you.” Mark 10:49-52. St. Augustine said, “Our whole
business in this life is to restore to health the eye of the heart whereby God may be seen.” Let us
pray, Lord Jesus, You call all of us every day, each one of us in particular. No one else can take
my place in your heart. I pray to listen for the stirrings of Your word and promptings, and to
respond to You wholeheartedly. May I say truly, my courage and my strength is the Lord. Amen.
