“Jesus made the disciples get into a boat and precede him to the other side of the sea, while he dismissed the crowds. After doing so, he went up on the mountain by himself to pray. When it was evening, he was there alone.” Matthew 14:22-23. St. Mother Teresa said, “We need silence to be alone with God, to speak to Him, to listen to Him, to ponder His words deep in our hearts. We need to be alone with God in silence to be renewed and
transformed. Silence gives us a new outlook on life. In it we are filled with the energy of God
Himself that makes us do all things with joy.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, you left us an example,
not only of service for those in need, but also, to take time, to be alone with God in prayer. You
have planted this need in us for time alone with you. May we be faithful and build our lives
around prayer. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
