Word for Wednesday August 9.

“They forgot who had saved them, who had done great deeds
in Egypt, wondrous deeds in the land of Ham, terrible things at the Red Sea. Then, he spoke of
exterminating them, but Moses, his chosen one, withstood him in the breach, to turn back his
destructive wrath.” Psalm 106:21-23. St. Augustine said, “Remember this. When people choose
to withdraw from a fire, the fire continues to give warmth, but they grow cold. When people

choose to withdraw far from light, the light continues to be bright in itself but they are in
darkness. This is also the case when people withdraw from God.” Let us pray, Heavenly Father,
we too forget all your blessings and sometimes complain about wanting more and more. May we
remember to give you thanks and praise for all you’ve done for us. And may we intercede each
day for others in need of your grace. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
