“Jesus said…,’There were many lepers in Israel during the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, only Naaman the Syrian.” When the people of the Synagogue heard this, they were all filled with fury. They rose up and drove him out of town.” Luke 4:27-29. St. Augustine said, “People hate the truth for the sake of
whatever it is that they love more than the truth. They love truth when it shines warmly on them,
and hate it when it rebukes them.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, when we don’t want to hear the truth,
it is our pride – we don’t want to be exposed, to see we have chosen others over You. Grant us
humility Lord, and put love in our hearts, that we may become the people You created us to be.
Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
