Word for Friday March 22.

I love you O Lord my strength, O Lord my rock, my fortress, my deliverer…The breakers of death surged round about me, the destroying floods overwhelmed me…In my distress I cried out to my God; from his temple he heard my voice, and my cry to him reached his ears.” Psalm 18:2, 4, 6. St. Augustine said, “If God seems slow in responding, it is because He is preparing a better gift. He will not deny us. God withholds what you are not yet ready for. He wants you to have a lively desire for His greatest gifts. All of which is to say pray always and do not lose heart.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You suffered greatly in Your humanity, and yet yielded Yourself to God Your Father, always trusting in His ways, even in Your darkest hour. May we follow You Lord, and trust in Our Father, placing ourselves, our loved ones, and those we struggle with, in His care every day. Lord be our Rock, our fortress, our deliverer. Amen. Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
