Word for Tuesday May 7.

“And he took them the same hour of the night, and washed their wounds and he was baptized at once, with all his family. Then he brought them up into his house, and set food before them; and he rejoiced with all his household that he had believed in God.” Acts 6:33-34. St. Francis de Sales said, “Unassuming kindness is the greatest virtue God recommends, so it should be practiced always and by everyone. Nothing has such an influence
on our neighbors as treating them kindly.”

Let us pray, Loving Father, the same Jailer who had locked up Paul and Silas in the inner prison and fastened their feet in stocks; is the same Jailer who acts humanely; washing their wounds and giving them something to eat! True, perception changes things; even the attitude changes; the hard and rough Jailer now acts human!! Father,
give us a good perception of reality and of people that we may live and act compassionately with
others. Amen. Be blessed. Larry.
