Word for Wednesday June 26.

“Instruct me O Lord in the way of your statutes, that I may exactly observe them. Give me discernment that I may observe your law and keep it with all my heart…Turn away my eyes from seeing what is vain: by your way give me life. Behold, I long for your precepts.” Psalm 119: 33-34, 37, 40. St. Josemaria Escriva said, “To be faithful to God
requires a constant battle, hand-to-hand combat, man to man – the old man against the man of God – in one small thing after another, without giving in.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we long to serve You faithfully, You are the one who has planted this desire in us. But Lord, You must in Your mercy, fulfill this desire. We ask for grace upon grace. We cannot be faithful on our own. You Lord Jesus are the way, our food and our strength. We wait upon You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
