Word for Monday August 5.

“When Jesus heard of the death of John the Baptist, he withdrew in a boat to a deserted place by himself. The crowds heard of this and followed him on foot from their towns. When he disembarked and saw the vast crowd, his heart was moved with pity for them and he cured their sick.” Matthew 14:13-14. St. Bernard of Clairvaux said, “How good and pleasant it is to dwell in the Heart of Jesus! Who is there who does not love a heart so wounded? Who can refuse a return of love to a Heart so loving? Amen.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we are so thankful You never tire of us. In fact, we don’t have to run miles to find You, as You never leave us. So vast is Your love, never satisfied with bit of us, You want the whole heart. Look tenderly
upon us Lord, bring warmth to our cold hearts, and plant love where we have grown indifferent by turning away from You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
