Word for Saturday November 9. The Dedication of the Lateran Basilica. Exactly 44 years ago today I was ordained a priest in Lubaga Cathedral by Cardinal Emmanuel Nsubuga. Pray for me that I may continue to serve my Lord and Master as best I can.

“Brethren: You are God’s building. According to the commission of God given to me, like a skilled master builder I laid a foundation, and another man is building upon it. Let each man take care how he builds upon it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him. For God’s temple is holy, and that temple you are.” 1 Corinthians 3:9c-11, 16-17. St. John of the Cross said, “Oh then, soul most
beautiful among all creatures, so anxious to know the dwelling place of your Beloved (God), so you may go in search of him, now we are telling you that you yourself are his dwelling, his secret inner room and hiding place.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus we thank You for making us the living temples which we must continue building, adorning and furnishing that they may reflect the true glory of the divine residing in us. We invite You Lord Jesus: build with us, mold and shape us into Your image every day of our life. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
