Word for Thursday December 26. St. Stephen, first Martyr.

“But Stephen, filled with the Holy Spirit, looked up intently to heaven and saw the glory of God and Jesus standing at the
right hand of God and he said ‘Behold, I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.’ But they…rushed upon him together, threw him out of the city and began to stone him.” Acts 7:55-58. St. Faustina said, “In difficult moments I will fix my gaze upon the silent heart of Jesus, stretched upon the cross, and from the exploding flames of His merciful Heart, will flow down upon me power and strength to keep fighting.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, so many have gone before us suffering martyrdom, and even today many are suffering horribly for their faith. We pray for these, and we ask that we too will be faithful each day, in big things and in small hidden ways. Whatever You ask of us today, may we be faithful and say yes. St. Stephen pray for us. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
