Word for Tuesday January 28. St. Thomas Aquinas, priest and doctor.

“At that time: The mother of Jesus and his brethren came . . . and they said to him, “Your mother and your brethren are outside, asking for you.” And he replied, “Who are my mother and my brethren?” And looking around on those who sat about him, he said, “Here are my mother and my brethren! Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.” Mark 3:31-35. St. Angela Merici said, “Do something. Get moving. Be confident. Risk new things. Stick with it. Get on your knees. Then be ready for big surprises.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, doing the will of Your Father makes us Your brother, sister or mother. We thank You for extending this relationship of family to us when we are bonded to You. Like St. Thomas Aquinas may we so be imbued in Your love that we may articulate it in our lives for our benefit of all others in our life. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Blessings. Larry.
