Word for Thursday April 10. St. Magdalene of Canossa.

“In those days: Abraham fell to his face; and God said to him, “Behold, my covenant is with you, and you shall be the father of a multitude of nations . . . I will make you exceedingly fruitful; and I will make nations of you, and kings shall come forth from you . . . And I will give to you, and to your descendants after you, the land of your sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their God.” Genesis 17:3-4, 6, 8. St. Louis de Montfort said, “Pray with confidence, based upon the goodness and infinite generosity of God, and upon the promises of Jesus Christ. God is a Spring of Living Water, which flows unceasingly into the hearts of those who pray.”

Let us pray, Father, You blessed our Father Abraham in a very mighty way! In the same way we thank You for all the blessings You have reserved specifically for each one of us: family, fruitfulness, talents, growth, life, safety. Give us the grace to live up to Your expectations that we may not block the flow of these blessings. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
