Word for Thursday June 5. St. Boniface Bishop and Martyr.

“Preserve me, God, for in you I take refuge. I say to the Lord, “You are my Lord.” O Lord, it is you who are my portion and cup; you yourself who secure my lot . . . I will bless the Lord who gives me counsel, who even at night directs my heart. I keep the Lord before me always; with him at my right hand, I shall not be moved.” Psalm, 16:1-2, 7-8. St. Francis de Sales said, “Be at peace then, put aside all anxious thoughts and imaginations, and say continually: ‘The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart has trusted in him, and I am helped. He is not only with me but in me, and I in him.” Let us pray,

Loving Father, our lives are threatened from all corners and from many attacks. But we are confident that You protect Your own all the time. With firm faith we come to You today, Lord, confident that You will do the same; be our sure protector and refuge in all the challenges raging
against us. Lord, be our sure refuge and counsel in all moments of our life. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
