“He said to him the third time, “Simon, son of John, do you love me?” Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, “Do you love
me?” And he said to him, “Lord, you know everything; you know that I love you.” Jesus said to him, “Feed my sheep. Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you fastened your own belt and walked where you would; but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will fasten your belt for you and carry you where you do not wish to go.” . . . And after this he said to him, “Follow me.” John 21:17-19. St. Mother Teresa said, “Don’t give in to discouragement. If you are discouraged it is a sign of pride because it shows you trust in your own powers. Never bother about people’s opinions. Be obedient to truth. For with humble obedience, you will never be disturbed.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You desire unconditional love from those who walk and work by Your side. Peter proved that he loved You without any
condition and many others have proved the same love; to the point of accepting to go where they would rather not go. As Your present-day friends give us the same grace to love You and do all that You demand without counting the cost. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
