Word for Wednesday June 11. St. Barnabas, Apostle.

“In those days, a great number who believed turned to the Lord. The news about them reached the ears of the Church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barbabas to go to Antioch. When he arrived and saw the grace of God, he rejoiced and encouraged them all to remain faithful to the Lord in firmness of heart.” Acts 11:21-23. St. Jane Frances de Chantal said, “Hold your eyes on God and leave the doing to Him. That is all the doing you have to worry about.”

Let us pray, Lord God, by the courage and love of the disciple Barnabas, many rejoiced and were grounded in their faith. We are so thankful for his faithfulness, and we ask through the intercession of St. Barnabas that we would be courageous in living out the faith, and that we would be a sign of Christ’s love in the world. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
