Word for Wednesday June 25. St. William of Vercelli.

“Jesus said to his disciples ‘Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.” Matthew 7:15-17. St. Ignatius of Loyola said, “Our only desire and our one choice should be this: I want and I choose what better leads to God’s deepening life in me.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, teach us discernment. There are so many teachers in the world, some sincerely striving to lead people to You. But there are others who even unknowingly lead people astray by their self-invented ideas and complicated
spirituality. May we simply be Your followers Lord, and begin each day surrendered to You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
