“The disciples approached Jesus and said, ‘Who is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven?’ He called a child over, placed it in their midst and said ‘Amen, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will not enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Whoever becomes humble like this child is the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.” Matthew 18:1-4. Saint Thérèse of Lisieux said, Jesus does not demand great actions from us, but simply surrender and gratitude. He has no need of our works but only of our love.
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, we ask this grace of You, of becoming like little children. Children are humble and free, and honest. Our pride can separate us and lead us far from You. May we want the best for each other and rejoice in the joy of others. And mostly, may we trust You as little children trust a loving Father, always running to You, and never away from You. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
