Word for Thursday August 21. St. Pius X, Pope.

“Then the king said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready, but those who were invited were not worthy to come . . . The servants went out into the streets and gathered all they found, bad and good alike . . . But when the king came in to meet the guests he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment. He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it that you came in here without a wedding garment? . . . Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet, and cast him into the darkness outside.” Matthew 22:8, 10-13a. St. Dominic Savio said, “Ask Jesus to make you a saint. After all, only He can do that. Go to Confession regularly, and to Holy Communion as often as you can.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You came to be like us so that You may clothe us to be befitting children of the Father. But at times we live, behave and sit in Your Church as unforgiven sinners rather than repentant sinners; sharing the Eucharist with unclean hands or hearts. Lord! Make us worthy of You and Your sacraments. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
