“Orpah kissed her mother-in-law good-bye, but Ruth stayed with her. Naomi said, “See now! Your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her god. Go back after your sister-in-law!” But Ruth said, “Do not ask me to abandon or forsake you! For wherever you go, I will go, wherever you lodge I will lodge, your people shall be my people, and your God my God.” Ruth 1:14b-16. St. Teresa of Avila said, “Courage, courage my daughters. Remember that God does not give anyone more trials than can be suffered and that His Majesty is with the afflicted. For this is certain, there is
no reason to fear, but to hope in His mercy.”
Let us pray, Loving Father, this is a very good example for married people; a resolve to be faithful to each other till death. But that unyielding
love and faithfulness must also be our daily commitment. May we always say, “Yes!” to all that You enable us to embrace and have as blessing and grace. Mother Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us! Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
