“Now it happened that as Jesus was praying alone the disciple were with him; and he asked them, “Who do the people say that I am?” And they answered, “John the Baptist; but others say, Elijah; and others, that one of the old prophets has risen.” And he said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” And Peter answered, “The Christ of God.” Luke 9:18-20. St. Hilary of Poitiers said, The confession of Peter obtained a reward worthy of it—for he saw the Son of God in man, and by speaking the mystery of faith, he was made the first of the apostles.
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, You invite Your Church and all members in it to witness to Your presence all the time. We thank You for all those our members, like St. Peter, who articulate so well who You are and what You do for us! May You always be the Christ in and for Your Church, the Savior and Provider in all circumstances. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
