Word for Friday October 10. St. Thomas of Villanova.

“Gird yourselves and weep O priests! Wail O ministers of the altar! Come spend the night in sackcloth, O ministers of my God! The house of your God is deprived of offering and libation. Proclaim a fast, call an assembly; gather the elders, all who dwell in the land, into the house of the Lord, your God, and cry to the Lord!” Joel 1:13-14. St. Padre Pio said, “If the world could see the beauty of a soul without sin, all sinners, all non-believers would instantly be converted.”

Let us pray, God our Father, may we not sit on the fence, being for and against holiness. May we truly desire to make our home in you. By your grace, may we listen attentively, and follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. May our angels guide and protect us, even from our own weaknesses. Father, we cry out from our hearts – make us light for the world. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
