Word for Saturday November 1. Solemnity of All Saints.

“Blessed are they who mourn, for they will be comforted…Blessed are they who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be satisfied. Blessed are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy. Blessed are the clean of heart, for they will see God. Blessed are you when they insult you and persecute you…falsely because of me. Rejoice and be glad, for your reward will be great in heaven.” Matthew 5:4,6- 8,11-12. St. Pope John XXIII, “The saints were people like us; they were not born perfect. They became saints by continually responding to God’s grace.” Let us pray, Heavenly Father, by your grace may we live the words of Jesus, and one day join all the saints in heaven. We give thanks that you are always with us – our strength, our joy, our light, that we may strive to be your mercy, your holiness and your love in the world. Saints of Heaven, pray for always! Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
