“Mary said, “My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit rejoices in God my savior, for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden, For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed; for he who is mighty has done great things for me; and holy is his name.” Luke 1:46-49. St. Augustine said, “Mary did not know all the details of God’s plan, yet she trusted Him completely. By her humility she pleased God, and because she believed, she conceived.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, Your Mother sings praises to the Father, for His love is saving and exalting. It is God who raises us from wherever we stand to the place He chooses for us. Mary opened her heart completely to her God, and He accomplished His will through her. May we be Marian in our ways—humble, trusting, and open, accepting Your will to be done in our lives.
