Word for Wednesday January 21. St. Agnes.

“Saul said toDavid, “You are not able to go against this Philistine to fight with him; for you are but a youth, and he has been a man of war from his youth.” And David said, “The Lord who delivered me from the paw of the lion and from the paw of the bear, will deliver me from the hand of this Philistine.” And Saul  said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you!” 1 Samuel 17:33, 37. St. Pope John Paul II said, “Do not be afraid. Open wide the doors to Christ. Do not be satisfied with a faith that is timid or fragile.

Let us pray, Loving Father, in the midst of life’s many challenges, we need a firm and unwavering faith in You, like the faith You gave to David, to face and overcome all that lies before us. Strengthen our trust in You when the road is uncertain and our hearts grow weary. Surround us with faithful friends and wise mentors who will encourage us, guide us, and support us, so that together we may carry forward all that You have placed within our hearts to accomplish. We place our hope in Youalone. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
