Word for Thursday February 12. St. Meletius Bishop.

“Jesus went to the district of Tyre…He wanted no one to know about it but…soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet…she was a Greek…and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said to her ‘Let the children be fed first’…but she said to him ‘Lord even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.’ Jesus said ‘for saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” Mark 7:24-29. St. Padre Pio said, “God can turn around any situation. Keep praying, keep believing, keep trusting.”

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you gave us your Son, to have as our own, our Savior and intimate friend. May we always have faith and courage like this Greek woman, to fall at his feet, and expect everything from Him. Father we ask this grace of surrender and trust in Jesus’ holy name. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
