Word for Saturday February 14. St. Cyril Monk, and St. Methodius Bishop.

“We have sinned, we and our fathers…Our fathers in Egypt considered not your wonders. They made a calf in Horeb and adored a molten image; they exchanged their glory for the image of a grass-eating bullock. They forgot the God who had saved them.” St. Irenaeus of Lyons said, “The glory of
God is man fully alive.”

Let us pray, Lord God, wonderfully and fearfully you have made us. You have created us for eternity, and we will not rest until this is fulfilled. May we never exchange the glory you have given us through your Son, for a created image, for things that so easily turn us from you. Be our strength now and forever. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
