Word for Saturday March 14. St. Matilda of Saxony.

“Jesus told this parable: Two people went up to the temple to pray…the Pharisee spoke this prayer to himself, ‘O God, I thank you that I am not like the rest of humanity-greedy, dishonest…or even like this tax collector. I fast twice a week and pay tithes’…But the tax collector.beat his breast and prayed ‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner’. I tell you the latter went home justified, not the former.” Luke 18:9-14. St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta said, “When you know how much God is in love with you, then you can only live your life radiating that love.”

Let us pray, Heavenly Father, by your grace, may we humble ourselves every day, even every hour. To think ourselves better than others is to forget the cross, and what Our Lord did for us as he hung there for hours. O God, may we rest in the truth, we are sinners, but sinners that you love immeasurably, we are your precious children. May we walk humbly with you today. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
