Word for Wednesday March 25. Solemnity of the Annunciation of the Lord.

“Brothers and Sisters, it is impossible that the blood of bulls and goats take away sins. For this reason, when Christ came into the world he said: ‘Sacrifice and offering you did not desire, but a body you prepared for me; in holocausts and sin offerings you took no delight. Then I said, as it is written of me in the scroll, behold, I come to do your will O God.” Hebrews 10:4-7. St. Teresa of Avila said, “We can only learn to know ourselves and do what we can – namely, surrender our will and fulfill God’s will in us.”

Let us pray, God Our Father, our Lord Jesus Christ your Son humbled himself, becoming one of us, and having no other desire than to do your will. He took a lowly place, being mocked and sacrificed for us. O God, that we may be obedient as well we pray. Grant us the grace to pray “Thy will be done.” Jesus be our strength. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
