“The Jews asked Jesus…‘Who do you make yourself out to be?’ Jesus answered ‘If I glorify myself, my glory is worth nothing, but it is my Father who glorifies me, of whom you say ‘He is our God.’ You do not know him, but I know him…Abraham your father rejoiced to see my day…So they said to him ‘You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?’ Jesus said to them ‘Amen, Amen I say to you, before Abraham ever was, I AM.” John 8:53-58. St. Augustine said, “I you humble yourself, God leans towards you.”
Let us pray, Lord God, you faced opposition at every turn when you walked the earth. And even now, people reject you and pretend you were a nice man and nothing more, all because you bring light in the darkness, your expose us for what we are. Pour out your grace we pray, so we can be humble, and be reconciled with you, our Savior and Friend. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
