Word for Wednesday of Holy Week, April 1. St. Hugh of Grenoble.

“At that time: One of the Twelve, who was called Judas Iscariot went to the chief priests and said, “What will you give me if I deliver him to you?” And they paid him thirty pieces of silver . And from that moment he sought an opportunity to betray him.” Matthew 26:14-16. St. Philip Neri “Bear wrongs patiently and pray for those who do you harm.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, even one of Your own, the one counted among the Twelve, sought an opportunity to betray You and placed a price upon Your sacred life. We too know the pain of betrayal, and at times, we have been the cause of it. In our weakness, we have wounded those we love. Lord, have mercy on us. Forgive us for every betrayal, in thought, word, or deed, and heal the wounds within us and those we have caused. Restore our hearts to faithfulness and love. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry
