Word for Good Friday, April 3. St. Sisto.

“Behold, my servant shall prosper, he shall be exalted and lifted up, and shall be very high. As many were astonished at him, his appearance
was so marred, beyond human semblance, and his form beyond that of the sons of men, so shall he startle many nations; kings shall shut their mouths because of him; for that which they have not heard they shall understand.” Isaiah 52:13-15. St. Thérèse of Lisieux said, “The more He
suffered, the more His love shone; His disfigured face reveals the victory of God’s mercy.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, it is amazing that the more You suffered, the more You loved us; the more Your mercy shone upon us. Grant us the grace to embrace the moments You invite us to share in suffering, to carry the burdens of others with patience and love, and to offer them willingly for
the salvation of souls. May our hearts mirror Yours in compassion and self-giving, so that through our trials, Your love and mercy may touch the world. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
