“While they were still speaking… Jesus came and stood in their midst and said to them ‘Peace be with you’. But they were startled and terrified and thought they were seeing a ghost. Then He said to them ‘Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and feet, see that it is myself. Touch me and see…then they gave him a piece of baked fish, and he took it and ate it in front of them.” Luke 24:36-39, 42. St. Athanasius said, “The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the ultimate proof of God’s power to redeem and transform all things.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, you made it so clear, that it was you in fact, who died on the cross and rose and walked the earth before ascending into heaven. The apostles were startled, as would all of us be, but you calmed them and reassured them. Lord, may we live this faith of the apostles, may they intercede for us, as we pray and believe without seeing. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
