Word for Sunday June 7. Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ.

“At that time: Jesus said to the crowds of the Jews, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if any one eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh . . . he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in m, and I in him.” John 6:51, 54-a56. The Eucharist is the source and summit of the Christian life.  Lumen Gentium.

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we thank You for giving us Yourself in the Eucharist, that we may be united with You and abide in You as You abide in us. May we always long for this sacred union whenever we receive Holy Communion. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
