Word for Thursday September17. St. Robert Bellarmine and Hildegard of Bingen.

“Then turning towards the woman he said to Simon, “Do you see this woman? I entered your house, you gave me no water for my feet, but she has wet my feet with her tears and wiped them with her hair. You gave me no kiss, but from the time I came in she has not ceased to kiss my feet.
You did not anoint my head with oil, but she has anointed my feet with ointment. Therefore I tell you, her sins, which are many, are forgiven, for she loved much; but he who is forgiven little, loves little.” Luke 7:44-47. St. Augustine said, “We love You too little when we love anything more than You or love it apart from You.”

Let us pray, Loving Father, many times we fail to remember and appreciate how You love us and bless us with so many gifts. Our response of love is often lacking. Give us the grace to recognize and appreciate all that You share with us, so that
our love for You may grow deeper and more complete. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
