Martyrdom consists also in serving God with love and purity of heart every day of one’s life.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, appearances deceive us! The hearts are hidden and we cannot read them. You read all the hearts of the sons of Jesse and there was no one befitting except David and it is he whom You anointed. Give me a clean heart; that though people may not see my hidden intentions; they may always be noble and holy in Your eyes. Amen
