Word for Friday February 11th. “My people heard not my voice, and Israel obeyed me not; So I gave them up to the hardness of their hearts; they walked according to their own counsels.” Psalm 81:11-12. St. Augustine said, “Let the Lord your God be your hope – seek nothing from him, but let him himself be your hope.” Let us pray, Come to us anew most Holy Spirit. Often we do not listen to the voice of God, but rather we work to please those around us. Help us not to seek the praise of other people, but rather that we may be courageous and found pleasing to You, we pray. Amen.
