Word for Thursday February 17. “My brethren, show no partiality as you hold the faith of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lord of glory . . . Has not God chosen those who are poor in the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom which he has promised to those who love him?” James 2:1, 5. St. Augustine said, “What does love look like? It has the hands to help others. It has feet to hasten to the poor and needy, it has eyes to see misery and want. It has ears to hear the sighs and sorrows of people. That is what love looks like.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus we are sorry for making distinguishing between our brothers and sisters following external indications of wealth, power, prestige, rank or name. These do not constitute the integrity of a person. Lord may we respect all for we are what we have grown to be by our faith in Your goodness and fidelity, by our imitation of Your generosity and forgiveness. Amen.
“Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
