“Some people told Jesus about the Galileans whose blood Pilate had mingled with the blood of their sacrifices.  Jesus replied ‘Do you think because they suffered in this way, they were greater sinners than all other Galileans? By no means!” Luke 13:1-3. St. Niphon of Constantia said, “God does not judge Christians because they sinned, but because they do not repent.” Let us pray, Lord God, we make judgements about people, about their suffering and why it happens.  But many suffer greatly in this life and we cannot say why.  Help us to be merciful, and to repent of our own shortcomings.
