Dorothy Day said, “Common sense in religion is rare, and we are too often trying to be heroic instead of just ordinarily good and kind.” Let us pray, Lord, this word of faith from a foreigner is what we say in every Mass before communion. “I am not worthy!”  Teach us to know our rightful place in life and in society so that we may do more good with our realism.
