“A man fell victim to robbers…they stripped and beat him, leaving him half dead…A Samaritan traveler was moved with compassion at the sight…and poured oil and wine over his wounds, bandaged him, and lifted him on his own animal and took him to an inn.” Luke 10:30, 33-34. Pope Francis said, “Like the Good Samaritan, may we not be ashamed of touching the wounds of those who suffer, but try to heal them with concrete acts of love.” Let us pray, Father God, help us to see the walking wounded all around us. We are quick to condemn, to criticize, but if we begin to see with Your eyes, we will act with compassion and wisdom. May we bring healing and restoration by the power of Your love. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
