Word for Easter Sunday April 17th. “When Simon Peter arrived after him, he went into the tomb and saw the burial cloths there, and the cloth that had covered his head, not with the burial cloths, but rolled up in a separate place. Then the other disciple went in…and he saw and believed.” John 20:6-8. Fulton J. Sheen said, “Unless there is Good Friday in your life, there can be no Easter Sunday.”
Word for Easter Vigil April 16.”On the first day of the week, at early dawn, the women went to the tomb . . . And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb . . . While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling apparel; and as they were frightened and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but has risen.” Luke 24:1-6. St. Teresa of Calcutta said, “Never let anything so fill you with sorrow as to make you forget the joy of Christ risen.”
Word for Monday March 14th.. “Be merciful, even as your Father is merciful. Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven,” Luke 6:36-37. Fr. Gregory Boyle said, “If you condemn anyone, anyone at all, you will never get heaven to agree with you.”
Word for Sunday March 13th. “And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my Son, my Chosen; listen to him!” Luke 9:35. St. Faustina said, “A humble soul does not trust itself, but places all of its confidence in God.” Let us pray, Father, we thank you for the gift of Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
