Word for Friday December 8,

The Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. “And he came to her and said, “Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with you . . . Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give to him the throne of his father David, and he will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and of his kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:28, 30-33.

St. John Paul II said, “From Mary we learn to surrender to God’s will in all things. From Mary we learn to trust even when all hope seems gone. From Mary we learn to love Christ her Son and the Son of God!” Let us pray, Loving Father, the honor You bestowed on Mother Mary is heavenly; to be he Mother of Your Son!!! As we celebrate Mary give us the grace to hold onto her Son without fail; celebrating Him in all that is us every day of our life. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
