Word for Friday January 31. St. John Bosco, priest.

“And he said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable shall we use for it? It is like a grain of mustard seed, which, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches,
so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.” Mark 4:30-32. St. Vincent Ferrer said, “If you truly want to help the soul of your neighbor, you should approach God first with all your heart. Ask him to simply fill you with charity, the greatest of all virtues; with it you can accomplish what you desire.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus from humble beginnings You invite us to grow into amazing adults, mature people who are Your pride and the pride of others. We are sorry for letting You down and others when we fail to realize all our potential; failing to become a big shrub where others can take shade. But we know we can always recover and rise to the glory You ordained for us. In You we put our trust. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Blessings. Larry.
