Word for Friday July 5 th .

“As Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the customs post. He said to him, “Follow me.” And he got up and followed him. While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat with Jesus and his disciples. The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners?” He heard this and said, “Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do.” Matthew 9:9-12. St. Pope John Paul II said, “Love of Christ does not distract us from interest in
others, but rather invites us to responsibility for them, to the exclusion of no one.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, it is amazing that You have no favorites!! You welcome anyone who needs You. Forgive us for segregating among Your people. Give us the grace and courage to associate with the lowly, the needy, the sick and misunderstood. Give us the wisdom to bring them assistance. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
