Word for Friday October 1. “Righteousness belongs to the Lord our God, but confusion of face, as at this day, to us, to the men of Judah, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and to our kings and our princes and our priests and our prophets and our fathers, because we have sinned before the Lord, and have disobeyed him, and have not heeded the voice of the Lord our God.” Baruch 1:15-18.

Peter Kreeft said, “If you want to attack your other sins, start with attacking your pride.” Let us pray, Loving Father we live in confusion because of our personal sin and the sin in our structures; we disobey You and do not follow what Your voice says. May we all: people, priests and civil leaders obey You Lord; that reason, order, and tranquility may reign again in our land. Amen.
