Word for Friday October 18 Feast of St. Luke, Evangelist.

“The Lord Jesus appointed seventy-two disciples whom he sent out in pairs to every town and place he intended to visit. He said to them ‘The harvest is abundant, but the laborers are few; so ask the master of the harvest to send out laborers for his harvest.” Luke 10:1-2. Pope Benedict XVI said, “The cardinals have
elected me, a simple and humble worker in the Lord’s vineyard. The fact that the Lord can work and act even with insufficient means consoles me, and above all I entrust myself to your prayers.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, even today You have work for us to do, in helping people see, You are asking for them. Even the ordinary circumstances bring unseen graces for others. Increase our faith, help us be mindful of You, help us be planted in You Lord, at the start of each day, and so bring You to the world. St. Luke pray for us! Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
