Word for Friday October 22nd. “For I take delight in the law of God in my inner self, but I see in my members another principle, at war with the law in my mind…who will deliver me from this mortal body?  Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!” Romans 7:22-25. St. Maximilian Kolbe, Martyr said, “The real conflict is the inner conflict . . . there are two irreconcilable enemies in the depth of every soul: good and evil, sin and love. And what use are the victories on the battlefield if we ourselves are defeated in our innermost personal selves?” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, sometimes we struggle so hard, doing that which we don’t want, instead of doing that which we want, that which unites us more fully to You.  Shower us with Your mercy every day anew Lord, for otherwise we will squander our souls. Amen.

“Let your light shine!!” Matthew 5:16.

Be blessed. Larry
