Word for Friday October 24. St. Anthony Mary Claret.

“At that time: Jesus said to the multitudes, “When you see a cloud rising in the west, you say at once, ‘A shower is coming’: and so it happens. And when you see the south wind blowing, you say, ‘There will be scorching hear’; and it happens. You hypocrites! You know how to interpret the appearance of earth and sky; but why do you not know how to interpret the present time?” Luke 12:54-56. St. Augustine said, “The times are evil, the times are troubled, that’s what people say.

Let us live good lives, and the times are good. We ourselves are the times.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus You commend us for knowing how to interpret the weather and You accuse us of failing to interpret what is good, worthy, godly! Forgive us Lord. Give us the grace :Lord to sift through all the husks (the good and not so good) of our life so that with Your Spirit we may choose the best which suites a life of a child of God. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
